About the School

"Geeta Devi DAV Public School came into existence when Smt. Geeta Devi Tulsyan donated her own school building situated at Castair’s Town, Deoghar to DAV CMC, New Delhi in 1996. This marked the beginning of DAV Education Movement in Deoghar in 1999. The school authority purchased a big plot of land measuring 8.12 acres at Bhandarkola, Satar Road, Deoghar and construction started soon after. The school’s separate wing was inaugurated in December, 2002 on the occasion of Vedic Camp. The school got CBSE affiliation on 01.04.2004 and now the school is a fully-fledged senior secondary school having two magnificent three-storey buildings and a recently constructed four-storey building adjoining the existing ones standing with a backdrop of a small hamlet on Satar Road. Another three-storey building with a multi-purpose hall on the ground floor is under construction. At present the school is having roll strength of nearly 3000 regular students.
