About the School

St. Raphael's had its humble beginning as a primary school way back in 1928. The congregation of the Sister Servants of the Holy Spirit, (SSPS) came to be associated with the school from 1936 onwards, nurtured its growth into a Secondary School (1941) and formally took over the management of the school in 1948. It is one of the oldest Christian Schools in the countryhe congregation of the SSpS sisters is an international Catholic religious order, founded by St. Arnold Janssen in 1889 and has its headquaters in Rome.The main area of activity ot the order is education of the girls. The SSpS sisters now manage educational and related institutions in 52 different countries and bring to their educational institutions the fruits of the collective wisdom and insights gathered over more than 130 years.
