About the School

The School is co-educational and cosmopolitan in nature with English as the medium of instruction. This school is run by Morning Star Educational Society (Registration No. S/IL/46129 of 2007-2008) founded on 5th March 2007. Mr. K. Chhetri (John Dahal) discovered the necessity of an English medium school in our place, Jateswar, way back in 2003, and established the institution as Morning Star Model School with the heartfelt cooperation from Mr. Hiren Ghosh. It was first located at Jateswar Bazaar with a small campus. Later on, Mr. Pradip Kumar Shil, Mr. Bikash Sarkar and Mr. Bishnu Ghosh realised the need of an adequate infrastructure and the need to upgrade the Elementary Education to Higher Secondary Education. With their selfless and humanitarian cooperation the school had been shifted to Hedayet Nagar, near Jateswar Park at NH-17, West Bengal, India, on a single plot of land measuring 2.02 acres.
