About the School
Welcome to the official site of KV Coochbehar. The Vidyalaya was established in October 1982 under defense sector. It is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body functioning under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Kendriya Vidyalayas are premier educational institutions promoting National Integration and imparting Value based quality education with the aid of advanced technologies. The main objective is to empower and equip students to meet futuristic challenges both nationally and globally. The Vidyalaya initially started functioning at Chilarai Army Barrack in Cooch Behar Town with classes I to V and just 10 staff members. A new building was constructed in the outskirts of the town in Neelkuthi, Baburhat amidst lush green meadows and villages with a small rocky river flowing beside it. The school shifted into its new spacious double-storied building on 4th July 1994. The Vidyalaya has now grown in to a two section school with Science and Humanities streams at Sr. Secondary level. We aim for excellence in all fields. Welcome to the official site of KV Coochbehar. The Vidyalaya was established in October 1982 under defense sector.
