EASTERN RAILWAY HIGH SCHOOL, Asansol is run by the Ministry of Railways through its Personnel Department. It is financed, owned and managed by the Ministry of Railways under the Govt. of India. The school is run as per the directives, given in the Railway Establishment Manual, Codes & Circulars, issued by the Ministry of Railways from time to time. The main objective is to provide quality and subsidized education to the Railway children and it has no motive to earn profit. The school caters to the requirements of railway employees whose job is transferable. It also imparts education to the non-railway candidates, subject to the availability of seats. It is an English medium co-educational school fostering gender equality. Adhering to the Educational policies of the C.B.S.E the school inculcates value education to its students.
