Introduction Aryabhatta Knowledge University Act 2008 establishes Patna University to conduct and facilitate affiliation of institutions in conventional and new professional education. This university will affiliate all colleges and institutions that offer professional education, such as engineering, technology, nanotechnology, biotechnology, management, medicine, health technology, public health pharmacy, optometry, nursing, education, law, etc. History Bihar prioritised technical education and established several prestigious technical institutes. In February 2004, Bihar College of Engineering, founded in 1900, became the National Institute of Technology, Patna. The Tilka Manjhi University-affiliated Bhagalpur College of Engineering and BRBA Bihar University-affiliated Muzaffarpur Institute of Technology are also old and prestigious. Bihar founded BIT Sindri in Jharkhand. These institutes provided high-quality technical education, and their alumni are now recognised internationally. About Us The Bihar government established Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU) in Patna to develop and manage technical, medical, management, and allied professional education infrastructure. Through advanced courses, infrastructure, and faculty, the university promotes professional education infrastructure to meet national standards. Bihar has few schools and poor education quality. Thus, Bihar is the main source of students migrating to other states for education and career development.
