Kamdhenu University, established in 2009 by the Government of Gujarat, is a public agricultural state university located in Gandhinagar. Named after the mythical wish-fulfilling cow, Kamdhenu, the university focuses on veterinary, dairy, fisheries, and allied sciences . It began operations in 2014 and gained full-fledged status in 2020 when 11 colleges were transferred to it.
